Today, Religious Teachers Filippini live in joyful response to go and teach, inspired by our mission to bring Christ’s teaching to life. Motivated by Christ, the teacher, the Religious Teachers respond to the changing needs of the times. The sisters serve in parishes, schools, universities and social work with those in need in the U.S., South America, Europe, Africa and Asia.
We continue the work of Jesus the Teacher through education, pastoral ministry, youth and young adult ministry, catechetical instruction, and retreat work. The Filippini Sisters, inspired by their Foundress, St. Lucy Filippini, "Go and teach the Word of God". We live the communal life in local convents in eleven dioceses and three archdioceses in the United States. As an international community, we are present in seven countries with our General House in Rome. Common prayer, daily Mass, rosary, meditation and Eucharistic Adoration nurture our community life.
