Dear Friend,
Imagine a place where hope is reborn—where children, after years of hardship, finally have the chance to learn, play, and grow. We’ve just returned from Ethiopia, and what we saw in Adigrat moved us deeply: hundreds of young children eagerly waiting for a safe, welcoming space to learn.
St. Lucy School in Adigrat is stretched beyond its limits, with 200 children filling a space meant for 120. This overcrowding has made it clear: these children need more room, and they need it soon. That’s why we’re launching an urgent project to build a new kindergarten designed to offer learning and comfort for 350 children. With classrooms, a dining hall, a nap room, and a gathering space, this new facility will be a haven for children who have already missed out on so much.
Our Goal: $500,000
To bring this vision to life, we need to raise $500,000, with an initial $150,000 required by December 3rd to break ground on construction.
When the war ended, children who had been out of school for four years flooded back with a hunger to learn. On the very first registration day, over 1,400 children, from kindergarten to eighth grade, arrived at St. Lucy School, ready to reclaim their education. But the youngest, most vulnerable children are still waiting for space.
Your Help Can Change Lives
Every dollar you contribute will make a lasting difference. Your generosity will be the foundation of this new kindergarten-a beacon of hope and resilience. Think of the joy you’ll be giving, the stability you’ll be creating, and the future you’ll be building for each child. With your support, we can give these children a fresh start and a brighter tomorrow. Thank you for standing with us and for giving these children the gift of hope, learning, and a future filled with possibility.
